Terry O'Reilly grew up in England and played for St. Anselm's College in Birkenhead. In the United States he played for Loyola University of Los Angeles and for the University of California at Berkeley. His Club career was with the B.A.T.S. and the Old Blues of Berkeley, finishing with the San Jose Silverhawks. He attributes his long career to playing prop, since no-one ever expected him to get any faster. After several years as Vice-President of the NCRFU he became active for the Witter Committee on Cal Rugby and has been active in supporting Cal Rugby to the present. He became a Trustee of the USRF in 1993. Between matches, Mr. O'Reilly is a trial lawyer, representing plaintiffs in product liability actions. In 2003 he was recognized as the California Trial Lawyer of the Year and in 1999 he was elected to the Inner Circle of Advocates, the highest honor in the United States for trial lawyers. Mr. O'Reilly also serves on the Boards of the Bancroft Library, the San Francisco Traditional Jazz Foundation and the Candy Store (a private automobile museum). He remains available for tours.
