Leslie joined the Walt Disney Company in 2001 and created the Parks division's first worldwide strategic communications department as executive vice president of Worldwide Public Affairs for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts (WDP&R). Formerly Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications in the Office of California Governor Pete Wilson (1993-1997). Most recently she served as vice president for media relations for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Before joining the Chamber, Ms. Goodman served as media consultant to the Burson-Marsteller public relations firm. She served in the Reagan Administration as an associate commissioner for governmental affairs for the Social Security Administration. At the same time, Ms. Goodman traveled on special assignment for the White House both at home and abroad as a press representative for President Reagan and the First Lady. In 1991, she was named director of communications and public liaison for the U.S. Information Agency in the Bush Administration. Ms. Goodman worked for the Bush-Quayle campaign in 1988 and again in 1992. Leslie began her career in local television news at WCBS-TV in New York and worked for several years as a freelance television producer. Leslie is a graduate of Stanford University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Communications. In 1996, she was chosen for a fellowship at Harvard University's Institute of Politics, where she spent a semester teaching a study group on political communications at the Kennedy School of Government.
