Linwood Holton is the former Governor of Virginia and delegate to the Republican National Conventions in 1960, 1968 and 1972. During his tenure as Governor, Mr. Holton served as chairman of the Republican Governor's Association, chairman of the Southern Regional Education Board and chairman of the Southern Growth Policies Board. After his tenure as Governor, Mr. Holton was Vice President and General Counsel for the American Council of Life Insurance, President of the Supreme Court Historical Society and chairman of the Advisory Commission on the Reorganization of the Metropolitan Washington Airports. In 1944, Holton received a B.A. from Washington and Lee University. He received an LL.B. from Harvard Law School in 1949. Governor Holton served with the Submarine Force during World War II and he was a captain with the U.S. Naval Reserve
