Zack Herlick joined the firm of Brownson, Rehmus and Foxworth in October 2006, advising wealthy clients on how best to manage their interests. Zack was formerly a director and client advisor at UBS Wealth Management Australia, and prior to that worked for CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency, as general manager of growth partnerships. Before moving to Australia, he was a general partner Maveron LLC, a $600 million venture capital fund he started with Howard Schultz, chairman and former CEO of Starbucks Coffee Company, and he was also an associate with Mayfield Fund, a top-tier Silicon Valley-based firm. In 1992, Zack co-founded Red Herring Communications, publisher of The Red Herring Magazine and Redherring.com. In addition to his entrepreneurial experience, Zack is a co-founding director of the Spotlight Foundation and a Strategic Advisor to the Great Barrier Reef Foundation. He graduated at the top of his class at Phillips Academy, Andover, earned a BA from Stanford University, Phi Beta Kappa with Distinction, and received a joint JD/MBA from Stanford Law School and Stanford Graduate School of Business. He and his family now live in the California Bay Area. Zack is a member of the 2005 class of Henry Crown Fellows at the Aspen Institute.
