Philip L Harris

Phil Harris is partner at Jenner & Block in Chicago, where he also serves on the firm’s management committee. His practice focuses on the defense of mass tort, product liability and complex commercial litigation. He is a member of the American, National, Illinois, Chicago and Iowa State Bar Associations. He also is an elected member of the American Law Institute. Since 1990, Phil has served as a Trustee of Northwestern University. He currently is a Vice Chair of the Board and a member of the Board’s Executive Committee. He also serves on the boards of the Chicago Zoological Society and the Student Conservation Association and is a Fellow of Leadership Greater Chicago. Phil graduated from Northwestern University in 1980 with a BA in political science and in 1983 earned a Juris Doctor degree from The University of Chicago Law School. He has three adult daughters. Phil is a 1997 Henry Crown Fellow of The Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
