Rodney E. Hood is Vice-Chairman of National Credit Union Administration and was appointed Member of the Board in 2005 by President George W. Bush. Previously, he served as: Division Manager, Community Development Lending, then National Director, Emerging Markets at Wells Fargo; Community Reinvestment Act Officer at Bank of America; Executive at North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance, where he directed group insurance, marketing and sales. Hood is a Member of Wells Fargo Housing Foundation Board and is the recipient of several awards including: Dream Award, Wells Fargo Housing Foundation; named one of region's 40 Under 40 young leaders, Triangle Business Journal; Young Leader, American Council on Germany. Hood is also a Panellist, National Endowment for the Arts and is currently writing a book on opera. Hood gained his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Political Science and Speech Communication from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
