Stephanie Catarino Wissman joined the Associated Petroleum Industries of Pennsylvania as Executive Director, in October, 2011. In this capacity, Ms. Wissman represents API and member companies in the state before state and local government, congressional representatives and staff, the media, the general business community and the public. API-PA, a division of the American Petroleum Institute (API), is the only national trade association that represents all aspects of America’s technology- driven oil and natural gas industry. Prior to joining API-PA, Ms. Wissman served for 4 years as the Director of Government Affairs for the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, the largest broad based business advocacy association in Pennsylvania. In this capacity, she lobbied on energy and environmental issues, and general business issues, on behalf of the PA Chamber’s membership. Ms. Wissman has also served as Manager of Government Affairs for Embarq, formerly Sprint, a global integrated communica- tions provider, for 11 years, with legislative responsibilities in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Ms. Wissman’s professional affiliations and community leadership include serving as immediate past president of the Tender Years Parents Association, immediate past member of the board for the State YMCA Youth in Government program, and was an immediate past board member of the Pennsylvania Highway Information Association. She is also a member of Women in Pennsylvania Government Relations. In 2011, Governor Corbett appointed Wissman to be a member of the Underground Storage Tank Indemnification Board. Ms. Wissman is a graduate of Penn State University
