As a Senior Partner, CEO of Ketchum’s European operations and chairman of the UK agency, David Gallagher brings more than 20 years of public relations experience, both as a client and as a senior agency adviser, to some of the world’s leading brands and companies. David Gallagher oversees Ketchum's nine European agencies and their specialist services, which include consumer public relations, healthcare communications, corporate affairs and social responsibility, public affairs, change management, and clinical trial recruitment. He is a member of Ketchum’s global Executive Committee and chairs the company’s corporate social responsibility initiatives. Before moving to London in 2000, David was part of the management team for Ketchum’s Washington, D.C. office and directed the healthcare practice. Prior to joining Ketchum in 1994, David held communications management roles for the American Diabetes Association and the National Mental Health Association. He is president of the International Communications Consultancies Organisation, a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations in the U.K., a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Advisory Council on the Future of Media, and a past chairman of the British Public Relations Consultants Association. He is a regular speaker and writer on matters related to international public relations. David Gallagher holds dual citizenship in the U.K. and U.S. and is politically involved in both countries. He lives in Hampstead, London, with his wife and two children. He is a journalism graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and a keen, if cautious cyclist.
