William Joseph Coyne

A Representative from Pennsylvania; born in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pa., August 24, 1936; graduated from Central Catholic High School, Pittsburgh, Pa., 1954; B.S., Robert Morris College, Pittsburgh, Pa., 1965; United States Army, 1955-1957; accountant; member of the Pennsylvania state legislature, 1970-1972; member of the Pittsburgh, Pa., city council, 1974-1980; elected as a Democrat to the Ninety-seventh and to the ten succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1981-January 3, 2003); not a candidate for reelection to the One Hundred Eighth Congress in 2002.
