Harold Ripps

Mr. Ripps, age 75, was appointed to the Board pursuant to the terms of the merger agreement between us and Colonial Properties Trust and has served as a director since October 2013. Mr. Ripps served as a trustee for Colonial Properties Trust from 1995 to 2013. Since 1969, Mr. Ripps has served as chief executive officer of The Rime Companies, a real estate development, construction and management firm specializing in the development of multifamily properties. While with The Rime Companies, Mr. Ripps oversaw the development and construction of approximately 15,000 multifamily apartment units in the southeastern United States. He is a member of the board of trustees of the Birmingham Council of Boy Scouts of America.
