Tim Lawrence, a Booz Allen Hamilton Vice President, is a leader in the firm’s Navy and Marine Corps (NMC) market. He oversees the business analytics capability delivery for the firm’s East coast NMC clients, as well as overall market leadership for the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) maintenance and modernization line of business. Mr. Lawrence and his team focus on assignments in the following areas: Applied economic analysis—cost analysis, business case/cost benefit analysis, data & decision analysis, readiness economics, and resource optimization Integrated financial and resource management—financial management operations, financial management improvement, and financial risk management Quantitative management controls—program and project assessment, performance measurement, contract strategy and management, program planning and scheduling, earned value management, and program risk management Mr. Lawrence has collaborated extensively across markets and capability teams to provide the full scope of economic and business analysis services. In his 12 years with the firm, Mr. Lawrence has supported every military branch, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and defense agencies, NASA, and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Mr. Lawrence started his career with Booz Allen in Mclean, VA, and in 2004 relocated to Norfolk, VA to lead the Business Analytics teams in Norfolk and Charleston, SC. In 2011, Mr. Lawrence relocated back to Northern VA to assume his current responsibilities. Mr. Lawrence sits on Old Dominion University’s Engineering Management and Systems Engineering Advisory Board, and is a Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCE/A) through the Society of Cost Estimating and Analysis (SCEA). Mr. Lawrence is a member of SCEA; the Institute for Operations Research and Management Science (INFORMS); and the Navy League. Prior to joining the firm in 1999, he served in the US Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer, and as a project manager with John J. McMullen Associates, a naval engineering and architecture firm. Mr. Lawrence received an MBA in Finance and an M.S. degree in Management/Operations Research from the University of Maryland, College Park; an MPH in Environmental and Occupational Health from The George Washington University; and a B.A. degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from North Carolina State University.
