With more than 20 years of experience, he specializes in energy program and project management, generation, transmission, distribution, cyber security, compliance and smart grid. He has authored multiple white papers and is a sought-after public speaker. Mr. Gomez is an accomplished business strategist with extensive experience in determining operational and business (case) impacts associated with significant industry change. He is skilled at leading complex client engagements in the areas of financial, operational, and regulatory compliance with specific expertise in nuclear and fossil cybersecurity strategy, smart grid strategy, and large-scale technology implementation. Mr. Gomez’s successful project engagements include cyber security (identification, assessment and remediation) for both generation assets (nuclear and fossil assets) and smart grid implementations, business continuity, financial transmission rights, cost controls, asset strategy and regulatory compliance. In addition to his contributions to the utility industry, Mr. Gomez worked with Department of Homeland Security’s National Programs and Protection Directorate (NPPD) providing strategic thought leadership on key operational objectives, such as strategic planning, organizational design and human capital management. Mr. Gomez earned a B.S. degree in marketing from Bloomsburg University and an M.B.A. in international finance from George Washington University.
