Cuong Do is Executive Vice President, Global Strategy Group for Samsung. Cuong is responsible for helping set the strategic direction and improve the performance of Samsung’s many businesses. Prior to Samsung, he was the Chief Strategy Officer for Merck, Tyco Electronics, and Lenovo. He was also a former senior partner at McKinsey & Company, where he spent 17 years and helped build the Firm’s healthcare, high tech and corporate finance practices. Between his roles at Merck and Samsung, he “retired” for a year to devote most of his time to addressing the challenges of autism. Between 500,000 and 1 million teenagers with ASD will transition to adulthood in the next decade. However, there currently no tools, approaches, processes to help parents of these individuals understand what their children are able to do and are interested in – without which one cannot help put in place appropriate post-secondary education options, jobs and support for housing and transportation. Cuong worked with his wife to launch Identifor (www.identifor.com) to develop new approaches to help these individuals identify abilities, skills and interests so that meaningful post-secondary educational and vocational plans can be pursued. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College, New Hampshire, U.S. and a Master of Business Administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, New Hampshire, U.S.
