Carol S. Smokler is a clinical psychologist with post-doctoral training in Sports Psychology. She has worked with athletes and teams at the collegiate, professional, and Olympic levels, as well as weekend warriors, teaching them performance enhancement skills. Her first love, however, is the volunteer work she does in the Jewish community. Dr. Smokler is the President of the United Jewish Communities (UJC) National Women's Constituency and the Chairman of the UJC Emergency Relief Fund. She is the Immediate Past UJC National Chairman of Partnership 2000. In addition, she serves on The Jewish Agency Board of Governors, the board of Synagogue 2000, and the Israel-Overseas Pillar Committee of UJC. Dr. Smokler has been an active participant in the life of her local community for many years. In her new community of South Palm Beach County, she serves as Chairman of the Israel-Overseas Committee, as a member of the Federation Executive Committee and on the board of Ruth Rales Jewish Family Services. Dr. Smokler and her husband, Irv, are proud to be part-time residents of Jerusalem. They have three adult sons.
