Ed Wassermann has over 25 years of state and local legislative experience and most recently served as chief counsel to Senate Democratic Leader David Paterson and Senate Democratic Leader Martin Connor. Prior to that, he served as first deputy counsel to the State Senate Democratic Conference, committee counsel to the New York State Assembly, and as the deputy director of the New York State Defenders Association. He brings a wide range of experience and skills to bear on behalf of a variety of clients including the Innocence Project, New York Civil Liberties Union and Prisoner’s Legal Services. He also currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Watervliet Arsenal Business and Technology Partnership. As an attorney he is admitted to the bar in New York State, the Northern District Federal Court and the United States Supreme Court and he has represented numerous clients in criminal and civil matters. Mr. Wassermann was a partner in the firm of Marsh, Wassermann & McHugh, LLC.
