Senate committee informational hearing and House symposium
On Friday, March 6, at 10 a.m., former Minnesota Supreme Court Justice Alan Page and Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari will testify during an informational hearing about the proposed constitutional amendment to guarantee quality public education for all children. The public is encouraged to attend Chair Carla Nelson’s Senate E-12 Finance and Policy Committee hearing in Room 1150 of the Minnesota Senate Building.
Also, on Friday, March 6, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., House Education Finance Committee Chair Jim Davnie will conduct a Symposium on Education Achievement Gaps. The symposium is set to begin at 8 a.m. with a series of experts testifying on key issues affecting the gaps. Justice Page and President Kashkari will discuss the proposed amendment at 1 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend in State Office Building Room 5.
