Jean Friedman-Rudovsky, Co-Executive Director Jean Friedman-Rudovsky is a Philadelphia native and is passionate about journalism’s vital role in creating a fair and just society. She founded Resolve Philadelphia in 2018, with the hope that sustained collaborative and solutions-oriented reporting will help bring about a more engaged, informed, and inspired city. During 2017, she was the project editor of The Reentry Project, Resolve’s pilot initiative, which focused on the challenges of–and solutions to–prisoner reentry. Prior to that, Jean was an award-winning freelance journalist, spending more than a decade reporting from the Global South and specializing in longform investigative and solutions pieces. She’s a Vice Magazine contributing editor and has been published in The New York Times, Time Magazine, Cosmopolitan, and Bloomberg Businessweek, among others. Jean resides in Mt. Airy. Cassie Haynes, Co-Executive Director Cassie Haynes joins Resolve Philadelphia with a background in fundraising and strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation. Most recently, Cassie served as the Deputy Executive Director of the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Community Empowerment and Opportunity where she directed the policy and programmatic initiatives impacting Philadelphia’s most vulnerable citizens as part of the agency’s poverty alleviation mission. Prior to joining the City of Philadelphia, Cassie was Executive Director of a global sports nonprofit and has held strategy-focused senior leadership positions with two Silicon Valley startups operating at the intersection of health, fitness, and digital technology. Cassie practiced union-side labor law with a mid-sized Philadelphia firm before finding her way towards the world of strategic planning and evaluation. She received a bachelor of fine arts in theater from Pace University, a masters of public health from Tufts University School of Medicine, and a juris doctor from Northeastern University School of Law.
