Alevo Energy is an energy service provider (ESP) dedicated to solving one of the world’s greatest energy challenges: the ability to time-shift energy, storing and delivering electricity when and where it is needed. They are getting this done with a combination of ground-breaking battery technology that is the core component of its GridBank containers and Alevo Analytics. The GridBank features the world’s first utility-grade battery. Alevo’s battery is based on a non-flammable, non-combustible 3rd generation lithium-ion technology with unique inorganic electrolyte chemistry that has demonstrated up to 10 times the life of competing technologies, while retaining its power capacity. Alevo holds multiple patents, and controls 100% of its IP. Alevo is currently setting up large scale manufacturing for their GridBank at the former Philip Morris factory in Concord, NC. Alevo manufacturing production will commence in 2015 and will create 500 jobs within the first year, reaching 2,500 within three years as additional manufacturing lines are added.
