Thumbtack is an online platform that allows customers to hire service providers in a broad range of categories. The company has raised nearly $400 million in Venture Capital funding from investors including Collaborative Fund, Baillie Gifford, Tiger Global Management, Sequoia Capital, Draper Associates, Launch Fund, and Javelin Venture Partners. Per company press releases, Thumbtack last raised $150 million in July 2019 at a post-money valuation of $1.7 billion. Thumbtack was founded by Marco Zappacosta, Jonathan Swanson, Sander Daniels, and Jeremy Tunnell in 2008. The company has not officially endorsed a plan to participate in an IPO.
