The Group is an integrated and internationally based LNG niche energy group. The Group is engaged in the (i) acquisition and marketing of natural gas in the US, (ii) LNG-related project development, (iii) the production, transmission, distribution and supply of LNG internationally, and (iv) power generation to create demand for LNG. The Group’s focus is on exporting LNG from the United States to small- and mid-sized power generation markets (those with less than 300MW demand) where there is no natural gas pipeline but a need to lower power generation costs by replacing diesel and Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) with natural gas. The Group is the only LNG provider offering a completely integrated LNG value chain to power markets and projects with less than 300MW demand. The Group operates in four segments: Exploration and Production (“E&P”), Liquefied Natural Gas (“LNG”), Transmission and Distribution (“T&D”), and Power Generation (“Power”). The E&P segment engages in the marketing of gas. As of December 31, 2011, it had a sold approximately 10 million metric British thermal units (“mmbtus”) of natural gas since inception. The LNG segment produces and markets LNG; purchases, ships, and sells LNG and regasified natural gas; and develops LNG import and regasification facilities. The Company operations will span 30 countries in North America, Central America, the Caribbean, Europe, East Africa, Asia and the Pacific Islands.
