Atlantic Coast Pipeline

Atlantic Coast Pipeline, LLC is proposing the approximately 600 mile unidirectional, open access Atlantic Coast Pipeline (ACP) to transport Marcellus-Utica shale gas from West Virginia, through Virginia, and ending in North Carolina.

Four energy corporations -- Dominion Energy, Duke Energy, Piedmont Natural Gas Company, and Southern Company Gas -- are behind the proposed pipeline, though Dominion is the driving force. Construction is scheduled to begin in the fall of 2017, pending regulatory approval from FERC and state agencies.
