The Real Estate Board of NY (REBNY) represents, and provides services for, professionals in NYC's real estate industry including property-owners, developers, brokers, managers, attorneys, insurance companies and banks. The organization and its members contribute heavily to political campaigns and work to influence NYC and NY State government policies with regard to land use, management of commercial and residential property, taxes and a number of other issues. The Executive Committee is made up of the officers of REBNY and other appointed members of the Board of Governors. The Board of Governors is a much larger division within REBNY. “Through the executive committee, the Board of Governors reviews recommendations regarding industry issues from the boards of directors and standing committees of REBNY's six divisions to determine appropriate actions."
