LittleSis: Charles Peterson

A graduate of Grant Union High and Sacramento City College, Charles “Chuck” Peterson started Chuck Peterson Automotive in 1975. In 1988, Peterson opened Folsom Lake Ford and Folsom Lake Kia. The Sacamento dealerships and nine dealerships in San Diego were sold to Houston-based Group 1 Automotive Inc. in 2004. Today, Peterson’s son John is general manager at Folsom Lake Kia and Folsom Lake Ford, while his other son, Doug, is service manager. A longtime Sacramento Kings corporate sponsor and fan, Peterson once bid $25,000 to get Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban to serve as his caddie in a charity golf tournament.
