A fifth-generation farmer, Michael Bosworth manages Rue & Forsman Ranch, a family business operating in Olivehurst since 1946. Today, the company sells more than a dozen varieties of conventional, specialty and organic rice. Recognizing a demand for locally grown produce, Bosworth created Next Generation Foods, a food distribution company owned by area farmers. He is a board member of the California Rice Commission and serves on the Sacramento Farm-to-Fork Steering Committee.
