Rajeev Sharma

Mr. Sharma is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Alqimi Group of companies, consisting of Alqimi Technology Solutions, Alqimi National Security and Alqimi Energy. With over 25 years experience in the information technology industry, Rajeev Sharma brings a track record of success and entrepreneurship as the Founder and CEO of Alqimi. Established in 1995, Mr. Sharma has steadily guided Alqimi from its origins as a technology systems integrator to a recognized innovator in the areas such as complex enterprise technology solutions, "Big Data", Cybersecurity, Social Media Intelligence, Next Generation Renewable Energy and Sustainable Fuels. Prior to founding the Company, Mr. Sharma enjoyed a successful career at IBM. During his tenure, Mr. Sharma quickly established himself as a future young IBM executive by leading the organization's efforts with some of its highest profile Federal government customers such as the FBI, the Department of Justice's Criminal Division, and the Immigration and Naturalization Service. Mr. Sharma has also been a business leader on U.S. international trade and business issues. In that role, he has accompanied Governor Tim Kaine’s Virginia trade delegation to India in 2007. Mr. Sharma also accompanied Commerce Secretary Locke's and President Obama's respective delegations to India in 2010. Mr. Sharma recently served as the senior U.S. Business member of the U.S. trade delegation to Sri Lanka in 2011. Mr. Sharma was the Chairman of IALI (the Indian American Leadership Initiative) and is a charter member of TiE DC (The Indus Entrepreneurs DC). Mr. Sharma holds a B.S. degree in Economics from the University of Maryland.
