The Ickes & Enright Group

At The Ickes & Enright Group, our work with nonprofit organizations – the New York Hall of Science, the Consortium for Worker Education, the Brooklyn Public Library, The New York Historical Society and The Freelancers Union, among others – has been a consistent element. Over the years, these and other New York based organizations that share the common goals of education and support of the local community have benefited from our services. We helped them think and plan strategically in the context of the complexity of Washington policy development, legislation, regulation and actions by the Administration. We have worked closely with them to deepen their relationships with policy makers, lawmakers and their staffs, and ultimately to obtain federal financial support for their important missions. We established a health care practice to augment that of our sister firms, Peck Madigan Jones and Tiber Creek Health Strategies. We have represented the North Shore/Long Island Jewish Health System, the second-largest, nonprofit, secular health care system in the nation, and the Alliance For Quality Nursing Home Care, a coalition of 12 leading national and regional post-acute and long term care organizations providing quality skilled nursing care to American seniors and the disabled in approximately 1,400 facilities in 44 states nationwide. Internationally, several organizations have benefited from our expertise, including Grupo Salinas of Mexico, whom we helped broaden its message and impact in the US and in dealing with some of the most troubling problems with its largest neighbor; The Supreme Group, a global service provider with more than 50 years experience developing and operating a customized food supply chain and associated services supplying US and other troops operating in a number of countries, typically in war time conditions; and the Putera Sampoerna Foundation of Indonesia, in connection with its mission to build a world-class university in Indonesia, with affiliate relationships in the US. Our work representing unions includes the American Federation of Teachers, AFL-CIO, Amalgamated Transit Union, and the Service Employees International Union. Municipal governments represented include the Government of Puerto Rico, Nassau County, New York and the New York City Council.
