Mr. Malkin is the Chairman and a director of the JMB Realty Corporation. Mr. Malkin was one of the co-founders of JMB Realty Corporation in the late 1960’s, which was in the business of real estate investment, management and development for both fiduciary accounts and its own account. Since the inception of JMB, Mr. Malkin has served as Chair or Co-Chair of most of the JMB affiliated entities. During the 1980’s, JMB made several acquisitions of real estate development companies including Arvida (owned by Disney), Alcoa Properties, Cadillac Fairview (a public company) and AMFAC Inc, (a public company). In 1993, JMB sponsored a REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust) called Urban Shopping Centers which was listed on the New York Stock Exchange and which was sold to Rodamco and a group of Dutch pension funds in the year 2000. Mr. Malkin is a graduate of the University of Illinois and is a CPA. Judd serves on the board of the Holocaust Education Foundation as well as the Chicago Bulls and White Sox and is otherwise active in political and civic affairs. He is one of the Founding Chairmen of the United States Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC.
