Christopher G. Peterson is a Member of the Firm, resident in the Denver, Colorado, office where he is a part of the Occupational Safety and Health Practice Group. Mr. Peterson represents the mining industry in a variety of matters under the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act and other state and federal health statutes regarding compliance issues, policy, legislative and regulatory matters, civil and criminal enforcement issues, accident investigations and special investigations on both state and federal levels. Mr. Peterson's litigation practice encompasses matters ranging from pre‑trial discovery to post‑trial appeals. He has served as lead counsel in numerous serious and catastrophic accident investigations through conclusion of the investigation and subsequent litigation. Mr. Peterson frequently presents on mine safety and health topics and routinely provides innovative training to safety professionals and supervisors under the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act. Mr. Peterson graduated from the University of Texas at Austin where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 2001. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder School of Law in 2004. Mr. Peterson is licensed to practice law in Colorado and is a member of the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations.
