Ruth J Simmons

Dr. Simmons has been President of Brown University since July 2001. She was President of Smith College from 1995 to June 2001 and Vice Provost of Princeton University from 1992 to 1995. Dr. Simmons is on the board of one public company in addition to Goldman Sachs: Texas Instruments Inc. In addition, Dr. Simmons is affiliated with certain non-profit organizations, including as a trustee of Howard University and as a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the American Philosophical Society and the Council on Foreign Relations.
