Charles A Sanders

Dr. Sanders is retired from Glaxo, Inc., where he served as Chief Executive Officer from 1989 through 1994 and Chairman of the Board from 1992 through 1995. He also has served on the Board of Directors of Glaxo plc. Previously, Dr. Sanders held a number of positions at Squibb Corporation. Dr. Sanders currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Vertex Pharmaceuticals, a biotechnology company. He also serves as a director of Genentech, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company, Biodel Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company, and Icagen, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company.
