Donna Clyne is a member of the firm’s highly regarded government affairs practice. With nearly 25 years of experience working with the New York State Legislature as both a private practitioner and public servant, Donna has developed a keen understanding of the legislative process and has cultivated strong working relationships with key decisionmakers in Albany. In her lobbying practice at Wilson Elser, Donna has advanced the interests of health care, educational and cultural institutions in connection with numerous legislative and appropriations matters before the State Legislature. She also provides support in Albany to trade associations representing key components of New York City’s entertainment and tourism industries, including theaters, hotels and yellow taxis. Donna previously served as an assistant legislative representative with the New York City Office of State Legislative Affairs in the administrations of Mayors Rudolph Giuliani and Michael Bloomberg. Her past experience also includes more than 10 years as counsel to New York State Assemblywoman Elizabeth A. Connelly, former speaker pro tempore of the Assembly.
