Thomas M Wierdsma

Mr. Wierdsma has an extensive background in facility development. With over 35 years of experience in the areas of design, construction, and real estate development; Mr. Wierdsma is uniquely qualified to lead GEO's efforts in the development new and innovative correctional, detention, and community reentry facilities. As Senior Vice President of Project Development, Mr. Wierdsma is responsible for the national and international private and public/private partnership real estate development, design and construction activities of The GEO Group, Inc. and GEO Care, Inc. Projects, which are consist of large, private and public/private correctional detention, and community reentry facilities. Mr. Wierdsma received his bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering at Valparaiso University and is a Registered Professional Engineer and a designated Design Build Professional.
