This is a sidebar regarding the excellent work Kevin and others are doing on Rep. Bean.
Approaching her from a different angle I noticed a few weeks ago that her former Chief of Staff, John Michael Gonzalez, was hired by the lobbying firm Peck, Madigan...this past spring.

Kevin noticed the increased donations going from Peck to Rep. Bean as of this summer and I would wager that this connection is the most sound explanation as to why.
Another aspect of this situation, is that I dug up an article from the Wall Street Journal, dated 12/6/06, that detailed how the Chamber of Commerce had a fundraiser in DC to alleviate Bean's campaign debt from the 2006 cycle.
In a very interesting discovery, we found that Mr. Gonzalez is now lobbying Congress on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce.
