Kyle Kyle  SF Bay Research Webinar is tomorrow at 3:00 PM Eastern. It's free to attend. You'll even get to hear my pretty voice! https://www2.gotomeeting.com/register/669484627 @WileyECoyote @ddwriter @C.Douglas @edmund @gweezy @whit @Aleinad
Kyle Kyle  Gary Shapiro Shapiro seems like one of the real "good guys" fighting for consumer rights in consumer electronics legislation. Has served on several board with executive members of Bay Area companies, too.
  Priscilla Priscilla  @Kyle
Yes, I think I registered Saturday or Sunday, looking forward to an explanation of the "GRID".
Kyle Kyle  @Priscilla Did you get my email about the political contributions training Webinar? I just registered myself!
Kyle Kyle  @WileECoyote Sorry for the slow response, WileE. Have your problems with the Caspersen profile been resolved? Everything seems to be loading OK for me now.
  Priscilla Priscilla  @Kyle
Ping!
Kyle Kyle  FollowtheMoney.org is offering Bay Area Project researchers a free webinar on how to conduct state money research on Thursday, September 24th at 12:00 Pacific (15:00 Eastern). Ping me back if you can make it!
Kyle Kyle  Interesting bit on Marin Country Homeland Security spending:

"Soon after hijackers obliterated the World Trade Center towers eight years ago, Marin County received more than $100,000 in surveillance equipment to keep its water treatment system safe from a terrorist attack.

But four years after the funds were awarded, state authorities found more than $67,000 worth of the gear still boxed in its original packaging."

Kyle Kyle  @JZuk Impressive work here, Jon!
kevin kevin  @Priscilla & @Kyle -- i don't think California State Senate: Bay Area Members should be it's own org, since it's really just a subset of California State Senate. maybe you could make a separate list of Bay Area politicians? I can help move stuff over.
Matthew Matthew  @Kyle It's always good to pause for a sanity check!

Perhaps I was wrong!
Kyle Kyle  Cheronda Guyton This person might not actually exist. We need more research!
Kyle Kyle  Richard C Blum Interesting case of a successful venture capitalist who remains heavily involved in academic management. I wonder what his position is on the UC Tuition increases: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi...
Kyle Kyle  @Priscilla:

1) I shared a link containing the research info this morning - let me know once you'd got it.
2) Connections to national / international entities are helpful and interesting. At the same time, I do want to make sure we come up with a thorough grid of information on Bay Area connections. Personally, I've just been keeping a note in the back of my head to not let my research spin too far away from Bay Area happenings.
Kyle Kyle  Liz Fowler has an extensive background in academia - a Ph.D on top of a J.D.!
Kyle Kyle  @dagooche Welcome to LittleSis! I'm here to help new members get acclimated to the editing system we use. If you have questions or get stuck, ping me at any time. Here's one project I'm working on right now - http://littlesis.org/group/sfbay
