@ellenp Question about how organizational relationships show up. I was surprised to not see Laura D. Tyson was not to be found under UC Berkeley. I then figured out that Laura Tyson is listed under Haas School of Business, a child org to UC Berkeley. Will there be work done to show also members of child orgs?

CEOs from Goldman Sachs, BofA, Merrill Lynch and JPMorgan faced tough questions today from members of the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission, many of whom
have former ties to the financial industry themselves.

Chamber group--
Beyond the political $ data (see http://blog.littlesis.org/tag/chamber-of-commerce/) we're working on compiling more info on the board members -- relationships showing where they've worked, what boards they sit on, where they went to school, what clubs they belong to, etc., so that we can do a bit more analysis.
Five of you are working through the board list -- if you need a hand, just say so. And if you don't currently have an assignment, there's other stuff to be working on, for instance on the Committee of 100. Always!
Great work so far everyone.

The Federal Open Market Committee, meeting today and tomorrow, is pretty much the usual group of suspects. And not surprisingly, its members have ties to Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Wachovia and Fannie Mae.

If Michael Powell needs any advice on how to be a director at AOL, he can just ask his dad, Colin Powell, who was on the AOL Board in the late '90s. The younger Powell also oversaw AOL's merger with Time Warner during his tenure as FCC Chairman.
