@kevin @seeker i think that would be a good use for our "custom keys", a feature that's currently only accessible in a tab on the edit page and rarely used. we could make them visible on the profile page and you could add keys like "Taxes paid to IRS, 2010" or "Effective tax rate, 200-2010". what do you think?

@seeker i agree we should find a way to show it. how do you think it should be displayed? we've been toying with the idea of some kind of "alert" at the top of the page that offers facts like this. I don't think a relationship really captures it, necessarily, but maybe this could be thought of as a taxpayer subsidy? Might make sense to create a new relationship type. cc @Matthew

"The Interior Department too often has been seen as an appendage of commercial interests as opposed to a place where the values and interests of the American people are served ... what I want to put an end to is an Interior Department that sees its job as simply sitting back waiting for whoever has most access in Washington to extract what they want ... that's going to change under Ken Salazar."
- Barack Obama, 12/17/2008

From Nicholas Calio's Citigroup bio: "The New York Times described him as a 'forceful broker…not only between the White House and Congress, but also among Cabinet officials…' and 'credit[ed] him with a major role in the biggest White House legislative victories on Capitol Hill, among them the resolution authorizing use of force against Iraq, the creation of the Homeland Security Department, an education bill and a major tax cut.' Congressional Quarterly reported that 'lawmakers of both parties also say Calio's forceful approach ...helped Bush put together a string of triumphs on Capitol Hill.' http://www.citigroup.com/citi/corporatego...

Kent Conrad gets deficit advice from Rubin: "The former Secretary of the Treasury Robert Rubin, who I think has, from all observers, gotten very high grades for the economic policy that he pursued as secretary of the treasury under the Clinton years, has called me several times in the last years warning about his concern about the long-term growth of debt and what it could mean for interest rates." http://findarticles.com/p/news-articles/p...
