About Clarence Douglas Dillon (Geneva, August 21, 1909 – New York City, New York, January 10, 2003) son of Clarence and Anne McEldin Douglass Dillon, was U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to France (1953–1957) and 57th Secretary of the United States Department of the Treasury (1961-1965). He also was a Member of the Executive Committee of the National Security Council (ExComm) during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
