Lifelong educator Dr. Mary Harley Gresham draws on her knowledge of urban issues to help an organization committed to the public good move forward. As Dean of the Graduate School of Education at the University at Buffalo, she is responsible for providing leadership for the school's academic vision, as well as for developing responses to opportunities and requests presented by other educational institutions, preK-12 schools and agencies at local, state and national levels. Gresham has focused on promoting P-16 partnerships, and encouraging and supporting research that addresses key education issues throughout the region. Gresham sees research and education as key components of world-class healthcare. She holds a bachelor's degree in philosophy and psychology, and a doctorate in counseling psychology from UB. Active in the community, she has volunteered her time to many groups, including the American Red Cross, Buffalo Urban League, National Federation for Just Communities, Children's Foundation, Horizon's Health Management Group, and the Minority and Women Inclusiveness Project of United Way.
