Partner Managing Director, Deputy General Counsel, Goldman, Sachs & Co Frances Bermanzohn is a partner managing director of Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York. She has been with Goldman Sachs since 1992 and now serves as deputy general counsel, responsible for the firm's trading and investment banking businesses. Previously, she was senior vice president and general counsel of the Public Securities Association, a securities industry trade association. She started her career at the law firm of Mintz Levin (Boston) and then worked at Webster & Sheffield (New York). Bermanzohn also serves on the Leadership Council of Oxfam America. Bermanzohn is a graduate of Brandeis University and the Boston University School of Law. She lives in Manhattan with her husband, two children and beagle. Her free time (what remains of it) is often dedicated to her passion for music. She follows many contemporary styles, including hip-hop, alternative rock, and electronic (and is a steadfast Radiohead fanatic).
