Mr. Sergel, now age 58, joined NERC in 2005. From 2000 to 2004, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of National Grid USA, an electric and gas utility. Mr. Sergel received a B.S. degree from Florida State University, an M.S. from North Carolina State University, and an M.B.A. from the University of Miami.
