Ms. Gordon comes to American Diabetes Association from the American Cancer Society where she spent more than five and a half years, most recently as Senior Manager, Federal Government Relations. Prior to ACS, she was a legislative aide to U.S. Representative Carolyn B. Maloney .
Ms. Gordon also has a variety of health care experience, having worked as Director, Socioeconomics & Quality Management for the Dallas County Medical Society and as Analyst, Health Care Industry Group for Andersen Consulting, LLP (now known as Accenture).
From 2003 to 2004, Megan served as the Chair of the Government Relations Affinity Group of the National Health Council. In addition, she has been active in such organizations as Women's Research & Educational Institute, Women in Government Relations and Smith College Club of Washington, DC.
Ms. Gordon received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Modern European Studies/Economics from Smith College in Northampton, MA, and a Master's of Health Science in Health Policy and Management from Johns Hopkins University. « less
