His extensive government background gives him a strong foundation in strategic legisla-tive planning and access to key policy makers across Capitol Hill.As a co-founder of the Franklin Square Group, Josh directs strategic advocacyand political programs for some the world’s most innovative companies ranging from Fortune 100 leaders to venture backed start-ups. Josh was recently highlighted by the Capitol Hill publication “The Hill” as one of Washington's top lobbyists for his work on behalf of the high-tech industry.Prior to founding FSG, Josh spent over four years as the lead Democratic lobbyist and Vice President of Government Affairs for the Information Technology Industry Council (ITI), a leading trade association represent-ing 40 of the top high-tech companies in the world. ITI is recognized as the most effective lobbying organization for the U.S. high-tech industry. As Vice President, he developed and implemented strategies to achieve legislative goals in the areas of taxes, trade, intellectual property, high-skilled immigration, stock option expensing, and global competitiveness.Josh served two years in the Clinton White House as Special Assistant to the President and Staff Director of The White House Office of Legislative Affairs, the President's lobbying team. There he worked closely with Members of the House of Representatives to advance the Clinton Administration's policy agenda.On Capitol Hill, Josh served as Associate Director of the Senate Demo-cratic Steering and Coordination Committee under the leadership of former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle. He was the chief liaison be-tween Democratic Senators and the high-tech sector, and Daschle's advi-sor on technology issues. Josh began his career in Washington in House Democratic Leader Richard Gephardt's leadership office.
