Prior to joining Blank Rome Government Relations LLC, Mr. Holman served as Deputy Assistant to the President at the White House Office of Homeland Security and traveled extensively around the country to speak at civic and government functions. While at the White House, Mr. Holman acted as one of the principal advisors to Homeland Security Director Tom Ridge and oversaw the Office's external affairs team, which includes intergovernmental affairs, public liaison, congressional affairs, and communications. Mr. Holman served as Chief of Staff and the closest governmental and political advisor to Governor Tom Ridge for over 18 years. He served Governor Ridge as his Administrative Assistant / Chief of Staff while in Congress, as Campaign Manager of the Ridge for Governor Committee, and as Chief of Staff for Governor Ridge in Pennsylvania. Mr. Holman has extensive campaign management experience having served on President Reagan's 1980 campaign staff as well as having served on President Bush's campaign staff in 1980 and 1988. Before his experience with the Governor, he served on the staff of the late United States Senator John Heinz. Mr. Holman has an extensive network of relationships across the country and is well respected in state capitals, on Capitol Hill and within the Republican administration in Washington, D.C. Mr. Holman is an active member of the Republican Governors Association and serves on its Finance Committee. Mr. Holman serves on the Board of the Tom Ridge Environmental Center at Presque Isle, a non-profit conservation organization. Since 1995, he has been a member of the Board of Trustees for the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In 2006, Mr. Holman served as the National Finance Director for the Swann for Governor campaign.
