Mr. Brooks has been involved in conservation efforts for many years, and more actively since moving to Wyoming in 1997. He was a member of the Jackson Hole Land Trust Board for six years, and President of that board for two years. Other commitments include class agent for Yale 1962 and a trustee of Kent School for ten years, as well as several organizations in the financial world. Mr. Brooks served two years in the U.S. Navy and then spent thirty-three years in the investment banking industry, retiring in 1997. He is currently serving on the boards of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Jackson Hole Ski Club, Jackson Hole Avalanche Center and works closely with NOLS. He and his wife Linda live in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Their interests include many outdoor activities: skiing, hiking, biking, fishing and golf, as well as the privilege of living in a beautiful part of the country. They have one son and one daughter, and eight grandchildren.
