Mr. Stephen M. Cutler, Steve has been General Counsel of JPMorgan Chase & Co., since February 1, 2007. Mr. Cutler served as an Executive Vice President and Head of Legal & Compliance Activities Worldwide of JPMorgan Chase & Co., since February 1, 2007. He served at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP in Washington, D.C. as Partner and Co-Chairman of Securities Department since October 2005. He joined WilmerHale in 2005. He served as Director of Enforcement of Securities and Exchange Commission Inc., since October 2001. At the Securities and Exchange Commission Inc. where he had been responsible for 1,100 employees and led the agency's investigations of numerous financial reporting matters, as well as its actions involving exchange specialists, research analysts and mutual funds. He joined the SEC in 1999. He was a Partner of Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering in Washington DC, where he served for 11 years and specialized in securities enforcement and broker-dealer compliance. He served as a Law Clerk to Judge Dorothy Nelson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Prior to Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering, he was a Visiting Fellow at the Center for Law in the Public Interest in Los Angeles. He was an Editor of the Yale Law Journal at Yale Law School. He received his B.A. summa cum laude from Yale University, where he was also a Member of phi beta kappa, and his J.D. from Yale Law School.
