The Project:

We're launching an investigation of the elite social networks surrounding the biggest corporations in the San Francisco Bay Area. Using LittleSis as a research tool, we will create an interactive database detailing the channels of money and influence that sustain these companies and tie them together. Check out our current initiatives here and here.

To fund this project, we've formed a partnership with Spot.us, an open source project to pioneer community funded reporting in the Bay Area. (Learn more about Spot.us.)

kevin kevin  attention analysts! you can now write notes to research groups -- once you join the group you can write a note to the group from its home page. we're hoping to facilitate communication between analysts working on the same research project (such as the Obama group, which is delving deep into White House visitor logs.)

Other groups include the health care investigative unit, the goldman sachs squad, the bay area research group, and the chamber group.
