Health Care Investigative Unit (HCIU)
HCIU is using LittleSis as a platform to help track down ex-Congressional staffers who are now healthcare lobbyists. These individuals are sure to play a big role in influencing health care reform legislation.
The Huffington Post's citizen journalists will help bring transparency to the legislative process by identifying them, tracking their key relationships, and shedding light on their lobbying activities.
For HCIU journalists & watchdogs: To get started, check out this project's wiki page for research tips and resources, and watch the instructional video below by @heaney welcoming you to LittleSis.
Update 8/5: The top three analysts who track down the most healthcare lobbyists will win prizes, as part of our first analyst challenge!

attention analysts! you can now write notes to research groups -- once you join the group you can write a note to the group from its home page. we're hoping to facilitate communication between analysts working on the same research project (such as the Obama group, which is delving deep into White House visitor logs.) Other groups include the health care investigative unit, the goldman sachs squad, the bay area research group, and the chamber group. |
